One Small Step #4 – Daily Energy Levels

Have you ever noticed that some tasks feel easy at one time of the day and surprisingly difficult at another?

Most of us don't have the same energy throughout the day.

Instead, our energy tends to follow a pattern:

📈 A Peak period when we're focused, creative, and capable of doing our best work.

📉 A Trough period when concentration feels harder and motivation drops.

📈 A Rebound period when energy rises again.

The problem is that many people do the exact opposite of what their energy is telling them. They spend their peak hours answering emails and attending routine meetings. Then they try to tackle their most demanding work when their energy is at its lowest.

I've certainly been guilty of that.

One Small Step

For the next three days, pay attention to your energy.

Ask yourself three simple questions:

✅ When am I at my best?

✅ When do I typically hit a slump?

✅ When does my energy return?

Then schedule one important task during your peak period.

Not ten.

Just one.

You may be surprised by how much easier the work feels when it is aligned with your energy rather than your calendar.

Small adjustments can create remarkable results.

When is your peak energy period during the day?

This is one of the many stories and practices I share in my new book BOOST - Energize Your Life One Small Step at a Time, which is now available for pre-order.

If this post resonated with you, I would be grateful for your support. Pre-orders make a huge difference for authors and help more readers discover the book.

📖 You will find the pre-order links on my website (Boost). Or simply check for my name on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or bookshop.org.
