The DARC is here (my writing journey Part 5)

Something new landed in my inbox recently...and it made the book feel more real than ever.

The DARC is here.

(The Digital Advance Reader Copy.)

At first glance, that might not sound like a big deal. It’s not proofread yet. It’s not final.

But for me, it’s a huge step forward.

For the first time, I can see and experience the book as a reader would:

not as scattered notes, drafts, and tracked changes — but as a structured, designed piece of work.

How the chapters flow.

How the pages feel.

How the ideas come to life visually.

And there’s a second reason why this matters:

With the DARC, I can now start reaching out to people whose work inspired this book – for instance authors I’ve referenced and learned from – and invite them to take an early look.

That feels both exciting… and a little nerve-wracking 😊

But it’s also part of the journey: Putting something you’ve created into the hands of others and opening it up for feedback.

Another step forward.

Stay tuned. More updates from my writing journey are coming soon.
