I almost broke one of my most important habits recently.
For me, daily exercise is non-negotiable. It’s how I reset and recharge.
But lately, my knee has been acting up…
So, running - my go-to habit - isn’t always an option.
In the past, I would have paused exercising, lost the rhythm, and had to start over again.
This time, I did something different:
I planned for the worst days, not just the best ones.
👉 If I can’t run, I bike.
👉 If I can’t push hard, I still show up.
👉 If it’s not perfect, it’s still consistent.
Same habit. Different execution.
Because habits don’t fail when conditions change— they fail when we don’t plan for the bad days, when we are not able to adapt them..
This idea is a big part of what I’m writing about in Boost – Energize your life one small step at a time:
Build habits that survive real life - not ideal life, so that they still work when energy is low or on a busy day.
